Sciatica may be the result of cumulative traumas, a sharp movement, strenuous lifting, or a jolt from a violent coughing or sneezing fit. The pain is felt in the buttocks, frequently reaching down the leg to the sole of the foot. It may appear gradually or suddenly, and though the pain eventually disappears, future flareups are common.

Since ninety percent of sciatic cases are caused by compression of the roots of the sciatic nerve between the interverbral disk and ligaments due to dislocation, chiropractic treatment is very effectivel. Chiropractic eradicates the cause and the pain at the same time, safely and naturally, eliminating the need for medication or surgery.
